PST Sterilization Trays are manufactured with a unique "pebble-like" interior surface.

The raised mat assures proper penetration of the sterilizing agent between the mat and the tray surface.
Adhesion of the mat to the tray surface is prevented.
The elevation of the mat assures of complete sterility of all surfaces.

Independent laboratory tests have shown that the space between the mat and the tray surface on PST trays is effectively penetrated. A variety of biological and physical challenges concluded that the space under the mat on PST trays was sterilized when exposed to steam at 270° F for five minutes.
